Community Food Pantry & Food Assistance

Nutritious Food. Neighborly Support. Everyone Welcome.

Whether you're stretching a fixed income, facing an unexpected hardship, or simply need a little extra support, our Community Food Pantry is here to help. Everyone deserves access to healthy food in a welcoming, respectful environment.

About the Program

Food insecurity affects people from every walk of life. Our Community Food Pantry serves older adults, working families, individuals with disabilities, and anyone experiencing temporary or ongoing food insecurity.

We provide nutritious food whenever available, including fresh produce, dairy products, meat, pantry staples, shelf-stable foods, bread and baked goods, frozen foods, and seasonal donations.

Expanding Food Assistance Programs

Growing to Serve More Neighbors

The McCall Senior & Community Center is partnering with the Idaho Foodbank to expand the food assistance programs available in Valley County. As these partnerships grow, we will be able to offer additional USDA nutrition programs that increase access to healthy food for eligible households and older adults.

I was embarrassed the first time I came. But the volunteers were so kind and normal about it — they just helped me find what I needed. Now I tell everyone about this place.

More Than a Food Pantry

Our pantry is just one part of our broader food security mission. Together with Community Dinners, Meals on Wheels, Food Recovery & Zero Hunger, and future USDA nutrition programs, we are working to reduce hunger while improving nutrition and strengthening our community.

Volunteer at the Pantry

Pantry volunteers are the heart of our food security mission. There are many ways to help:

  • Sort donations
  • Stock shelves
  • Pack food boxes
  • Receive deliveries
  • Assist guests
  • Support Food Recovery
  • Prepare future USDA distributions

Help Stock the Shelves

Our pantry runs on donated food and community generosity. Current pantry needs include:

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned proteins
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Oatmeal
  • Cereal
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Hygiene items
  • Fresh produce (when accepted)
