Medical Equipment Lending
The Gear You Need, At No Cost
Recovering from surgery? Managing a chronic condition? Our free lending library puts wheelchairs, walkers, and other durable medical equipment in the hands of Valley County residents who need them — no insurance required.
About the Program
Durable medical equipment — wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes, and more — can be expensive to purchase and difficult to find in a rural community. Our lending library makes these essential items available to any Valley County resident, free of charge, for as long as they're needed.
Our inventory is maintained and sanitized by volunteers and grows through community donations. When someone no longer needs a piece of equipment, they return it to us and we make it available to the next person who needs it. It's a simple, community-powered system that has helped hundreds of Valley County residents over the years.
We do our best to keep common items in stock, but availability varies. Call or stop by to check what's currently available. If we don't have what you need, we'll do our best to help you find it.

By the Numbers
The Difference It Makes
After my knee replacement, I needed a walker and a shower chair. The center had both ready for me the day I came home from the hospital. I don't know what I would have done without them.
Donate Equipment
If you have gently used durable medical equipment you no longer need, please consider donating it to our lending library. Your donation will go directly to a neighbor in need.
Get Involved
