Building a Healthier, More Connected Community

For nearly 50 years, the McCall Senior & Community Center has been a place where neighbors gather, meals are shared, and friendships grow.

Today, we continue that tradition by reducing hunger, expanding access to nutritious food, providing transportation, supporting healthy aging, and bringing people together through compassionate community programs.

Serving McCall Since 1978

For almost 50 years, the McCall Senior & Community Center has been dedicated to reducing hunger, isolation, and barriers to wellness for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and our greater community.

Our building is more than a senior center — it's a welcoming gathering place where neighbors connect, volunteers serve, and vital resources are shared.

Rooted in Community. Growing Together.

What We Do

More Than a Senior or Community Center

For nearly 50 years, the McCall Senior & Community Center has been a place where neighbors come together. More than a building, we are a community hub—a place to find support, share resources, build relationships, and create connections. Whether someone needs a nutritious meal, assistance accessing food, a ride to an appointment, medical equipment during recovery, a place to gather, or simply a welcoming community, there is a place for them here.

Community Dinners

Join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 PM for a hot, nutritious dinner and an opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors. $8 for guests under 60 · Suggested $5 donation for adults 60+.

Meals on Wheels

Our home-delivered dinners help seniors and homebound individuals remain healthy and independent. Beyond nutritious meals, our volunteers provide friendly visits and informal wellness checks.

Community Food Pantry

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Everyone is welcome. We provide fresh produce, dairy, meat, pantry staples, baked goods, and other nutritious foods whenever available.

Food Recovery & Zero Hunger

Every week we partner with grocery stores, farms, and food distributors to rescue wholesome food that might otherwise go to waste. Thousands of pounds redistributed each year.

Transportation Assistance

Helping older adults and medically vulnerable neighbors reach medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and community programs. Reliable transportation helps people remain healthy and independent.

Medical Equipment Lending

Free short-term loans of wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, commodes, canes, and other mobility equipment to help community members recover safely and maintain independence.

Why It Matters

Living in a rural mountain community brings unique challenges.

  • Older adults often face long travel distances for healthcare, limited transportation options, rising food costs, and increased social isolation.
  • Families may struggle to make ends meet while balancing caregiving responsibilities.
  • Perfectly good food is discarded while neighbors experience hunger.
  • We work every day to bridge these gaps through practical solutions that improve health, strengthen community connections, and make the best use of local resources.
